These are a great pair of boots. comfortable, rugged and
fairly priced. I've worn these for a year and a half in
summer ,winter trough rain & snow over rocks and through
creeks without a problem ... that is until the outer shell
cracked and compromised their waterproofing now they will be
work boots. I will miss them on hikes tremendously . as for
the staining others have mentioned I used armorall which
made the look like new.
I bought these boots 3 weeks ago. I've never owned Merrill
boots before. They have a look all there own. This was the
only winter model the store had left. I might have tried
another gore-tex model if I had the opportunity. I'm happy
with these so far...my feet have stayed warm. They're not
clumsy or heavy like some others.
Have had these boots less than a year .Only a few months of
wear on them, my moad's take me threw the warmer month's.
They have proved to be warm dry and comfortable. They have
taken me threw the high peaks over night in the winter. They
accommodate cramp on and snowshoes great. The only problem
is the crack that has appeared above my left big toe. Now my
foot does get a little damp. But, I do like the boot just
wish it lasted longer with out cracking.
Had this boot for about 4-5 years and being just a winter
boot for me I only wore it 3 months of the year to and back
from work. The boot is very comfortable, the boot is very
warm, the boot is very stylish and kept my feet dry... The
unfortunate part is that both boots have torn at the seams
on top... The stitching is fine but the rubber has ripped...
This boot would be a 5 if it wasn't for the quality... The
boot is 4-5 years old but has approximately only a years
worth of wear... Great boot otherwise
