From out of the box to on the feet (no break-in) and 8 miles at 65 degrees F air temp with a 55lb load at 15min/mile pace over unimproved trail with multiple shallow water crossings - EXCELLENT BOOTS! No blisters, VERY comfortable, dry feet due to waterproofness of the boots as well as moisture wicking of foot perspiration. I've been backpacking with countless boots over many years and these are the best boots I've ever worn.

These boots have been great. They will be my 'go to' boot fr this falls DIY backpack elk hunt in September and a few backing trips before that. They are out of the box comfy! I ordered a size too small based on some other boot brands. Go off your tennis shoe size when ordering. I returned mine in exchange for a 13, which is my tennis shoe size. Bingo! Had a friend buy some with same result in a size 9 and had to go to a 10. In other words, it runs true to size with our tennis shoe size.

No better boot I know of for snowshoeing in the Adirondack high peaks. Not for technical climbing but pair this up with a Black Diamond Contact Strap crampon for extra safety on Icy ascents. I've used these boots down to -24 with no complaints.

I switched to these boots during an Afghanistan winter and loved them. They are very lightweight and incredibly comfortable. The heel is great for strapping on snowshoes if needed and the clip on the front is great for attaching gaiters which I utilized more often than not. I switched out the insoles to the more comfortable orange superfeet and felt that they gave me more comfortable support, but that is personal preference. They do get a little toasty once the weather warms up so remember those extra socks if you are taking long breaks or stopping overnight. Mine have more than a few miles of hikes put on them through snow and ice and they are still looking and feeling great. Can't wait to get a chance to use them again!
